Volley Jolly – Part – I

Note: The is just a function declaration. The entire body is to be written. Keep watching the blog to get more update. I have covered only the early days in part-I. Part-II and so will be released soon in detail. This is so called our Volley – Ball Family.

Background:
As Amdocs boys’ team is defending champions of year 2009 in MKM Tournament and started again in Year 2010 with the practice mail in Amdocs. Thereafter, I got Pryianka’s and Shilpa’s consent regarding having a girl’s volleyball team in Amdocs. But for this I had to have someone from boys’ team (Anna and Alok) who can help in this regard. I cant forget the word Anna said, “Ravi I am not comfortable with girls why are you pulling me, take Alok and continue the practice. (In reality, Both Alok and Anna wanted to be a part of this team from inside but they were not showing it outside. Dono ke man me to bade bade laddu fut rahe the… “Now everyone knows Anna is not really comfortable with girls!!!

Initiation:
First day we had lots of girls for practice but second day we remained with 8-9 girls those who really love this game. Vindhya, Shilpa, Neha (played the game before), Deepti, Yasodara, Baljeet, Priyanka, Richa, Sunayana they were really interested to learn this game and do something for themselves, for company or for entertainment. After some days almost all were having black scar on their hand but still wanted to do the practice. (We were really proud of you all because at the same time all your friends doing beauty parlour activity and you all were doing hard work for this game.) Vindhya was crying in the ground because she had to go home with the scar on hand and when her daddy will see it, he may get angry. But don’t know it was really her daddy or some one else. Baljeet was going home at 1 o’clk night and getting up for practice by 7 o’clk morning. That’s the SPIRIT Boss. Deepti was having good approach for the game from the first day itself. Shilpa was so quick & good at collecting the ball. Yasodara was able to lift the ball under arm but struggling for fingering. For Neha, no comment from my side, technically she was better than me. We thought as we found Alok for boys team, the same Neha will do for girl’s team. For Priyanka, Sunayana and Richa this was the first time in their life, they came to know Volleyball is also a game. So they were more interested to learn the game and they were working hard on it.  Ritu known as Jadu joined later so will be covered in part – II and so…

In boys team we found some laurels this year Named Bond!!! James Bond and Reddy !!! Pradeep Reddy and Nitin support can’t be missed. Rest we all belong to last year. And will be more on everyone in the upcoming releases..

Out of the Court:
All the guys from Amdocs playing cricket in the morning in the ground were pulling my legs as Girls Team coach and bla-bla. In Alok’s team all were saying him as Kabir khan and the same for me in my team or whoever knows me. Anyhow we were managing them. One day Srikanth & Satish knew about this and they told “what yar only you guys are playing with girls please invite us also. We are also very keen to play with them.” We were thinking of mingling both the teams but till the time our relationship was delicate so fearing (Anna specially) of if something goes wrong then who will be responsible.

Note: This part is just an introduction.. The full story is still to be written……

    Hey Ravi,
Gud one! Now v kno more hidden truths :).
Anna(Married), SHY with girls, i think he talks with almost everyone!
Srikanth & Satish : Ooo!!! 🙂 u needed invitations to play with girls :P:P

I second you Ravi, really all girls displayed so much sincerity that i was indeed pleasantly surprised (especially Vindhya, Deepti and Baljeet) and improvement each one has portrayed is tremendous!

Yes, early days scars n blood clots on hands are unforgettable.

Yes, u ppl are our Kabir Khans 🙂 truly!

Few of my experiences (with guys):
Our interactions started with Ravi ONLY. He was super excited. he really pushed us to form girls’ team. All thanks to him. Then later, v got introduced to Anna and Alok. I remember Ravi introduced them to us as ex-captain and current captain respectively n then both smiled shyly :). Anna held big scary moustaches then, which made him look very strict and reserved and wat not!(Deceptive looks) :). I mean never thought i would be talking so freely to him. in fact, he is one of teh most affable person i have met. Alok, he looked calm and reserved, talking only as much as required, to the point 🙂 and yet friendly (NO deceptive looks) . He is the same til date :). Later on, got to interact with Srikant, James, Sathish, Pradeep, Nitin, Sada and all became dear friends. Pradeep, became my chat buddy and Sathish my true friend 🙂 😉

With gals, my understanding and relationship matured with time and as n v started knowing each other well. I can go on writing but that would create another post in comment. So i better stop here. 🙂

    Love,
    Shilpa
